Update-Manual
1.)
Download the required firmware-version.
2.)
Extract the downloaded file.
(you
need decompression software: WinRAR)
3.)
Start the application with a double click.
(You
can find the application in the decompressed folder. The name is "FirmwareDownloader.exe")
4.)
Connect the DR2 with the USB-Cable to the PC.
(The
update-software detect the connected DR2 automatically)
ACHTUNG:
DO NOT DISCONNECT THE RECORDER BY UPDATE PROCEDURE!
5.) Click the
"START" button in the update-software and confirm the follow message.

update-software show progress)
6.) After the update procedure disconnect
the recorder and close the update-software.
Check the new firmware version
in the recorder menu, select "settings" and "about".
The
current firmware version number is displayed.

recorder menu you can find in the manual.

Recommended settings
If you are recording very low soundpressure and you
hear probably a small noise in the backround which is
caused from the plug in power.
Please use following steps to clean up.
You will have to alternatives to minimize an cleanup
this noise.
1 For user of powered microphones
like the okm with A 3 adapter
please use line-in.
Due of less sensitivity of line-in the record level for
recordings with low
soundpressure could be low.
You can lift the level with the harddiscrecording
system
audacity you will find on your recorder.
Please open your audio-file.
Than select edit and than select all.
Under
Effect you go to amplify. Than you can
raise the level as you like.
You will find in the coming upgrade the line-in function
also providing manual
record control.
2. For recordings with unpowered
mics which needs the plug in power,
like the okm solo version, you should
use Audacity also.
- With Audacity please open the
to audio-file you want to
work with.
- Please selecte a small sequence
recorded silence or
use the sample you can download here.
- under edit
please press select all.
- under effect please select noise removal and get
noise provile
- now the system got the information
what is to clean.
- now open your audio-file you want to edit again and
select all under edit column.
- than select under
effect column the noise removal
and the noise will be removed.
Now your music file will be even on very silent parts
without any noise at
all.

2 you
